My son doesn't usally build models, but when given the opportunity to build one of his favorite cars, he couldn't resist, and I had promised to help him.

Looks like I'm doing most of the paint job and he is putting it together! :)
Here's the engine!

He wasn't interested in doing and ignition wires or anything like that so it'll be completely ootb.

Some parts was painted black.

Painting with gloss colours isn't my forte so I failed a bit and sanded down the worst of it.

Then it ended up on my shelf for quite some while. My son have been nagging me for quite some time, and recently I decided to try again.

I actually sanded and polished some more and then I painted the interior roof black as well as the inside of the hood.

I masked the black and then painted the front, the rear and the hood.

And the inside of the body.

I'll let it dry a while more and then paint the outside. Hopefully it goes well and if it ends up like the front and rear, then I'm happy! :)

As he didn't like the white or silver stripe option, I need to mask and paint black stripes for him! :)

I recently bought a Lambo kit, and of course he asked to co-build that one as well! :)

Nice kit, I built this a few years back. I had to strip and re-paint mine twice before getting it acceptable. Are you going to lower the front end? These modern mustang kits tend to ride high

Thank you Bud! :)

I hade some issues painting the hood and body, even though I think I used the same ratio between colour and thinner.
Got a wierd surface with very small spot were it looked like the colour and thinner had separated or something like that.
Not sure if I can't polish it to look good enough.
