Moon Ship

This kit is a repop by Atlantis of the 1956 kit by Revell.
I added interior white led lights, blue led porthole lights, and red and blue leds for the exhaust. The blue lights from the bottom portholes of the craft create a nice effect in lighting up the "Moon" base. I painted the astronauts in white "space suits" in addition to the silver "space suit" which is hanging. The ship reminds me of the "Icarus", the Planet of the Apes spaceship.

I was thinking the same thing about the Icarus similarities. The astronauts look like they're just chillin', maybe with some good tunes.šŸŽ§

Well frankly I'm glad you missed Chris' reply till now, because otherwise, I would have missed this post altogether.
What an awesome build! Nicely done!
That base and background are absolutely perfect and really bring the model to life.
I love the way you did the interior, and adding the lighting really makes it pop!
Overall, a superb build my friend! Thank you for sharing. llap

Thanks for the kind words, Kalan.
I am still getting used to this site as far as seeing other builds. I don't know what it is, but for some reason I have to look around to see other works. If it isn't in a "Showcase", "Group Build (showcase)" or "Monthly Photos", the chances are pretty good that I haven't see them. I sure others post their work in other spots, but I don't know where to look.

You are very welcome!
I completely understand what you mean.
Generally, I tend to use the "What's New" Tab 90% of the time, checking to see any new comments or posts.
The other 10% I will click the "Forums" Tab and search around in the different options there, as well as the "Resources" Tab where there are a lot of great Websites, YouTube Channels, and Store Listings to discover.
Hopefully Kenny Conklin or someone will be able to give us both a little more insight on how to better utilize the community.
Take care and Happy Modeling!

One of the forums I used to belong to (years back) would always have the new posting listed at the top of the category. These were almost always completed builds, as the "How to" builds would usually be pinned and would be continuously added to by the builder. So it was pretty easy to see what others were up to and what they were building.
